Abstract:

Improving the convergence speed of adaptive filters is crucial for enhancing performance inapplications involving highly correlated input signals. In this paper, we propose a novel method to improvethe convergence performance of the affine PROJECTION LMS (AP-LMS) algorithm by incorporating a variablesmoothing approach for the weight update MATRIX. The smoothing parameter is dynamically assignedbased on the difference between the instantaneous and smoothed values of the weight update MATRIX.Simulation results for FIR system modeling demonstrate that the proposed algorithm achieves superiorconvergence performance in estimating system coefficients compared to competing adaptive algorithms for both stationary and non-stationary input signals.

Background: Loss of PROJECTION is a very common complaint after nipple reconstruction. In this paper, we present our experience with the use of a novel human cadaver-donor-derived acellular dermal MATRIX, named MODA (Matrice Omologa Dermica Acellulata) from the Regional Skin Bank to improve and stabilize nipple PROJECTION after oncoplastic breast surgery. Methods: We did a retrospective analysis of patients undergoing nipple reconstruction with local flap and MODA graft after breast reconstruction between February 2019 and May 2021. The analysis was done following the Declaration of Helsinki and was approved by the ethics committee; written consent was sought from all the participants. The main evaluation criterion was nipple PROJECTION measurement, performed immediately after surgery, 6 and 12 months postoperatively. The secondary endpoints were complications and patients’ satisfaction. Results: In this study, 50 patients underwent nipple reconstruction, with 57 reconstructed nipples. All cases except six followed delayed breast reconstruction. The patients were divided into 3 groups, according to the breast reconstructive technique. There were three cases of delayed wound healing and two cases of partial necrosis, but all of the cases healed by secondary intention. Five percent of the patients (3/57 reconstructions) presented more than 60% of nipple PROJECTION loss and required another procedure. The other reconstructed nipples maintained an average of over 60% PROJECTION after 12 months. Conclusion: The described technique presents a high success rate associated with low complications. Indeed, it provides the advantages of nipple reconstruction with ADM with low costs, appears safe after radiotherapy, and has similar results when used after different reconstructive techniques.

Abstract:

Today, countries’ power PROJECTION, along with tangible and intangible elements of power, is considered as one of the indicators of national power which through them, a country fulfills its demands by using consequences of power elements. Depending on the amount of this power, the scope and the range of countries’ power PROJECTION differs from each other. Although, many international scholars pay attention to the U.S. and Russia’s elements of strength and power PROJECTION as the world's greatest military powers, however, the prospect of China’s continuous and increasing economic growth considers the country’s likely increase of power PROJECTION.Thus, by viewing the concept of power PROJECTION, in this article, we will examine its elements in relation with China and then, with a comparative look, we study China’s power PROJECTION at regional and international level.

Abstract:

A Control Chart can be designed based on heuristic, statistical, economic or economic statistical assumptions. When a control chart such as multivariate cumulative sum (MCUSUM) control chart is employed to monitor a production process, three parameters should be determined; subgroup size, sampling frequency and the control limits. This paper provides an algorithm for economic-statistical designing the PPCUSUM control charts parameters based on simulation approach. Finally, example and sensivity analysis are presented.

Abstract:

The aim of the present study was the histological evaluation of Enamel MATRIX Derivative (EMD) effectiveness for regeneration of periodontal defects. EMD activates cementum synthesis, PDL and bone during the maturation stage of follicole. In this research, EMD was used in surgical defects of premolar teeth in four adult sheep. Muccoperiosteal flap was reflected in buccal site of teeth. The buccal bone plate was removed from mesial to distal in 4 mm depth. After eliminating the cementum by bur and its etching, EMD was applied on exposed dentine and flap was sutured. In opposite sites of those teeth (control sites) the same process was performed without etching. After 100 days, sheep were sacrificed and histological study through light microscopic was performed on black sections of operation sites. The results showed that in test sites, regeneration of cementum and bone was 62/5% and 42/5-50% respectively. But in control sites regeneration of cementum and bone was 37.5% and 32/5-42/5% respectively. Also the migration of junctional epithelium in control sites was 8-10% more than test sites. The important point is that in test sites, cementum was completely attached to undermining dentine. But, in control sites, the gap between cementum and dentine was visible. As a result, this study suggests that EMD promotes periodontal regeneration, and EMD application is a successful achievement in regenerative periodontal therapy.

Abstract:

Personification is one of the most important figures of speech that are manifested in poetry in several forms. Personification usually accompanies figures of speech such as ambiguity, pun, simile etc. Personification as a kind of metaphor or simile has got two bases; 'person' and 'thing', i.e. inanimate object. Whenever we attribute a human attribute or activity to or project a spiritual state and human activity into inanimate objects, the result is personification. Personification is one of the most important dimensions of beauty in Hafiz's poetry. Hafiz personified in different ways and in numerous forms and, in fact, his skill in doing so was excellent. The most important devices in Hafiz's personification include simile, metaphor, and ambiguity that occur in the ground of metaphor.
